Step by step

Split a PDF Every N Pages: step by step

Cut a PDF into equal chunks of 2, 5, 10 or any number of pages. Free online splitter, no signup, no watermark.

  1. 1

    Upload your PDF

Drop in a document and every page appears as a thumbnail, with a zoom slider to size them. Files are deleted after 2 hours.

  2. 2

Set how many pages per file

The “Split every [2] pages” box sits right under the pages — type any number and the Filenames panel updates live: 8 pages every 2 gives four files, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. The last file holds whatever is left.

The Split every N pages screen on desktop: eight page thumbnails with cut marks between them, the Filenames panel listing four parts — ex-a-2.pdf 1-2, ex-a-4.pdf 3-4, ex-a-6.pdf 5-6, ex-a-8.pdf 7-8 — and the Split every 2 pages box above the Split PDF every N pages button The setup up close: the Filenames (4) panel, the 'Split every 2 pages' box and the Split PDF every N pages button with More options
  3. 3

    Split and download

Press Split PDF every N pages and the ready page lists every part — download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP.

  • Chunks of N pages

Every N pages becomes its own PDF — 2, 3, 10, whatever you type in the box.

  • Any count you like

Change the number and the filenames and page ranges follow instantly — nothing to re-run.

  • The last part holds the rest

8 pages every 3 gives 3, 3 and 2 — no page is ever lost on the way out.

  • Filenames panel

Every part is listed under the pages as it will download — names and ranges, updated live.

  • Zoom the thumbnails

The slider sizes every preview from 100% to 400% before you split.

  • Private by default

No account, no watermark — and every file is automatically deleted after 2 hours.

What the other tools do

N-up

Places several pages on one sheet — 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32-up — with a readable order and a sheet size you choose. It is the print-saving layout for handouts, proofs and booklets.

Resize

Changes the paper: scale every page to a new size (A4, Letter, Legal and the rest), add margins around existing content, or shrink the file.

Delete Pages

Removes pages from a copy of the document. The pages you keep are copied whole, and bookmarks pointing at them come along unless you tick the discard box.

Compare

Compares two versions of the same document and names every meaningful difference: changed wording, numbers and dates, inserted or removed blocks, and pages that shifted. The result is a report you can read, not a highlight layer you have to interpret.
