Step-by-step guide

How to write on legal stamp paper

LegalWorkflow is built around one fact: stamp paper is the record, so the writing has to sit on the paper you already have. The workflow opens the sheet, gives you a writing box and exports a print-ready document without replacing the stamp.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Run it and download

Press LegalWorkflow and the page shows progress while it works. When it finishes you get a download link — nothing is emailed and nothing is stored longer than it needs to be.

Start from the paper you own

Open a purchased e-stamp PDF, photograph the printed sheet, or start from the printable template when you have no file yet. A phone photo needs even light and all four edges visible; a slight tilt can be straightened, but a blurry stamp or a cut-off corner cannot be reconstructed.

Keep the writing inside the sheet

Set the writing area before composing. Leave the stamp and signature areas clear, use consistent line spacing and read the first page at 100% before adding the rest. For a long agreement, add dummy pages with the same size and colour so the set prints as one document.

Print, check and archive

Print a plain-paper proof first and check margins, page order and that no text sits under the stamp. Then print the final sheet and keep the exported PDF as the archive copy. If the other party must sign, collect the signature through E-Signer rather than placing an image on the paper yourself.

Good habits for LegalWorkflow

  • Steps run in order on the same document, so think of it as a recipe.
  • Save the common chains — compress then watermark is a popular one.
  • Any step that needs an extra component reports it rather than failing silently.

Common questions

Is this tool free?

Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily task limit.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The tools run in your browser and are processed by this server.

What happens to my files?

They are stored under an unguessable id and swept automatically after a couple of hours. Nothing is shared or indexed.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The page pickers and editors are built for touch, so dragging, rotating and selecting pages all work without a mouse.

What does LegalWorkflow do exactly?

Open a purchased e-stamp or a photo of your stamp paper and write on it in the editor: scanner clean-up, the writing box, saved templates and a print guide.

Does LegalWorkflow sell stamp paper?

No. It helps you write on paper you already bought or photographed. It does not issue, sell or validate stamp paper.

Can I use a phone photo?

Yes. Use even light, keep all four edges visible and straighten the scan before writing.

Where does the signed copy go?

LegalWorkflow handles the writing; E-Signer handles the signature workflow and its audit trail. Keep both records together.

What the other tools do

BETAWorkflows

Chains the one-shot tools into a pipeline and runs it on a document in a single pass — rotate, crop, resize, n-up, flip, grayscale, deskew, watermark, header and footer, page numbers, Bates, metadata, bookmarks, annotation removal, compress, repair, flatten, protect and unlock.

Repair

Rebuilds a PDF that will not open: a broken cross-reference table, a truncated download or a file damaged by a failed save is reconstructed page by page into a new, readable document.

Split by text

Starts a new document every time the text at the top of a page changes. Statements, invoices and reports that repeat a heading per section separate themselves.

Split by bookmarks

Uses the document's existing bookmarks as cut points, so each chapter becomes a file named after its heading. No page ranges to type.
