Convert from PDF

PDF to PowerPoint: One Page per Slide

Sometimes the deck already exists as a PDF. This conversion makes it editable at the slide level without a rebuild.

What this tool does

Turns each PDF page into a PowerPoint slide, keeping the page as the visual content of the slide so a deck can be annotated, reordered or presented.

How it works

Upload the PDF and download the .pptx, then open it in PowerPoint or Keynote and add text boxes on top of the page images. It is the fastest route from a designed document to a slide deck; for a deck that must be edited as text, rebuild the slides from the source.

  1. Choose the PDF, or drag it onto the page.
  2. Run the tool and download the result.

When to reach for it

  • A PDF report must be presented. Each page becomes a slide you can reorder.
  • Someone wants to mark up a page in PowerPoint. The slide carries the page as its visual.

Questions we get

What comes across to PowerPoint?

Each page becomes a slide, so a PDF deck is editable again in one step — positions, text and images carried over slide by slide. Text saved as vector outlines (common in browser-printed PDFs) is rebuilt as editable text boxes too; logos and artwork stay exactly as they look in the PDF. Scanned pages need the OCR option.

Where it fits

The tools people usually open next to PDF to PowerPoint:

  • PDF to Word — Convert from PDF to DOCX online
  • PDF to Text — Extract text from PDF. Copies all text from the PDF document and extracts it to a separate text file
  • PDF to JPG — Get PDF pages converted to JPG, PNG or TIFF images.

Every tool works on a copy, so the original file is never modified. Uploads are stored under an unguessable id and deleted automatically two hours after you last open them; nothing is listed, shared or indexed. More on the security page.
