PDF pages make convenient slides because they hold their layout. The conversion turns each page into a slide, but “editable” and “pixel-identical” are different goals; choose which one the presentation needs.
Step by step
-
1
Upload your PDF
Drag your PDF onto the box or click Choose file. It is sent over an encrypted connection and only used for this task.
-
2
Run it and download
Press PDF to PowerPoint and the page shows progress while it works. When it finishes you get a download link — nothing is emailed and nothing is stored longer than it needs to be.
One page, one slide
Each PDF page becomes a slide at the page’s aspect ratio. A4 and Letter pages are more square than a widescreen deck, so check the slide size before adding text. If the presentation must be 16:9, consider exporting the PDF pages as images and placing them in a deliberate slide layout instead of stretching the page.
What stays editable
Text, images and simple shapes can become PowerPoint objects. Complex transparency, unusual fonts and intricate vector artwork may be placed as images. That is still useful, but it is not a full rebuild; check one dense slide before editing the rest.
Check fonts and slide notes
Install or substitute the typefaces used in the PDF, then review line breaks and bullet indents. Open the deck in present mode and check that nothing sits outside the safe area. PDF comments do not become speaker notes automatically; add notes deliberately if the deck needs them.
Good habits for PDF to PowerPoint
- Text PDFs convert best. If the page is a scan, run OCR first.
- Tables are detected by their alignment, so ruled lines convert most reliably.
- Check the result before deleting the original.
Common questions
Is this tool free?
Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily task limit.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The tools run in your browser and are processed by this server.
What happens to my files?
They are stored under an unguessable id and swept automatically after a couple of hours. Nothing is shared or indexed.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The page pickers and editors are built for touch, so dragging, rotating and selecting pages all work without a mouse.
What does PDF to PowerPoint do exactly?
Convert PDF to PowerPoint online
Can I edit the text in the slides?
Simple text may become editable PowerPoint text. Complex layouts and some fonts arrive as images, so check the first slides before planning a full edit.
Does the conversion preserve animations?
No. A PDF has no slide animations to carry over. Add transitions and animations in PowerPoint after the import.
Why is the slide the wrong shape?
The slide follows the PDF page. Change the PowerPoint slide size, or use a 16:9 template and place the PDF pages as images.
